UPPER ASTRAL - JOURNEY TO THE EDGE OF THE UNIVERSE
Valley of the Sun (AM119)
1983
i dont know anything about this "band" (maybe its robert slap?) except that its some of the best new age cosmic synth music ive ever heard. translucent synth strings, spacy twinkles and rubbery basslines. part of the dick sutphen 'valley of the sun' new age empire. pure gold! ive got a few of their other albums that i will be posting here along the way. enjoy! (believe me, its worth the wait)

Ahoy! Glad to see you back - I've been in great need of CHILLING THE FUCK OUT, and how. Your rips help me do this, without resorting to Xanax. Thanks mate!
back with a bang. heart thanks fer the upper astral
JUST ABOUT TO BLAST OFF....THANX GD!
Not, like, over the edge. Just, you know, right up to it.
This sounds good, but it sounds even better if you play it with both sides of "The Psychedelic Saxophone of Charlie Nothing" playing at the same time too.
Thanks for posting this little gem !
whats been with this monster wait??
before I forget:

got that on tape, anyone interested in dl?
@ ales - long wait because i had a baby in november. busy with that. also want to make sure the shares are gems when they drop. should be more soon....
@ r0ph - i appreciate the comments, however i have to delete any comments that are promoting sales and things like that. your blog is awesome, one comment is good enough :) (p.s. crystal cave is a nice one. i have a copy of that as well. might post that here in the future.)
great to see you back. thanks so much!
Looking for Zoltan Jeney's OM. I saw on another blog where you posted you had it. Any chance for a share? Pretty please? Namaste.
i do have zoltan jeney's OM LP, but i havent made a proper rip of it yet.
its not really appropriate for CV blog here (its quite dissonant!), but i could post it over at the root strata blog soon.
Thanks so much! Looking forward to it. I'll check out your Root Strata blog. Appreciate all your music!
zoltan jeney 'om' posted over at root blog.

Great posts! Thank you so much for sharing!
My wife had a tape titled "You Are the Universe" that I believe is from the same people. It was quite good. Any chance you can re-up this post? The link no longer seems to be working. Great blog!
Can you re-up please?
File deleted!!!
Edson.
link fixed.
Yes. Thanks for bringing this back to life. Upper Astral has some great stuff. I wish I could find out more about them.
upper astral is great. i have 2 more of their tapes. very good stuff.
im not sure who is behind it either, but i think maybe it is David Naegele who was part of the valley of the sun scene as well....
Thx for re-up!
